Rhen returned home early work was slow and he needed some time alone to recharge. He replicated himself something to eat stripped out of his clothes tossing them in the laundry. Took a shower and placed his and Kiera's change of clothes out for tomorrow. Before crawling into bed naked with some reading material and a PADD for notes.

Kiera arrived home noting signs that Rhen was already home, their marriage had gone through a lot since their time in the gladiator arena, and both of them had been expected to ‘entertain’ others. Kiera had kept her feelings buried deep, the pain and hurt at betraying her husband with other men, that and the fact that she’d eventually started to like it. The pain and guilt had even made her consider taking her own life but that was a coward's way out.

Now they were here like ships passing in the night, lovemaking had become sex on a need-only basis. She loved Rhen but she didn’t know how to get back to where they’d been before. Walking into the bedroom she stripped down throwing her clothes in the wash, she wasn’t even sure she pleased Rhen anymore.

That was all he was willing to say as waited for her to get naked and go shower before joining him in bed. While Kiera showered Rhen wondered if he should have just joined her like he usually did but instead thought against it. Instead, he pulled up their wedding photos and looked them over remembering how great things were back then. There were a few clothed ones in their album although it was a traditional Betazoid wedding Rhen liked the dress Kiera wore for their clothed photos. It really brought out her lovely curves and she was dressed as an angel it made Rhen smile. His smile faded he wondered what happened to the people he and her were thanks to his stupidity he had ruined their lives. Placing the PADD down on the bed Rhen turned the light off on his side of the room and covered up to his chin rolling to his side.

Emerging from the shower a few minutes later Kiera emerged wrapped in a towel, dropping it to dry off she hoped Rhen would be spurred into taking advantage of her. She always loved it when he did, not that they’d bothered with their old loving ways since the arena.

Rhen grabbed a sheet and pulled it over the both of them. "I don't want to lose you, Kiera, whether you believe it or not I don't know what it is that keeps us from being close. We will sort this out I am sure, Callie, can help us."

“You’re not going to lose me Rhen” Kiera offered a smile. “Imzadi I...” She paused, how could she explain how she truly felt without risk of pushing him away.

Rhen yawned unexpectedly their wild romp must of tired him out. He rolled onto his back taking a moment to fix his pillow. "What is on your mind?" He asked sleepily.

“Rhen I...” She paused biting back the need to spill her feelings. “It doesn’t matter, let’s just get some sleep.” She joined him as she curled up on her side.

Rhen felt a little disappointed that Kiera wouldn't tell him what was bothering her but even more so she didn't cuddle with him anymore. Not saying a word he rolled over to his side showing his back to her and turned out the lights.
